QUESTIONS, ANYONE?

  • Coaching is both a relationship and an experiential process. Coaching operates on the premise that each person is inherently whole and creative, able to achieve their desires. Clients possess self-knowledge and hold the answers. The coach's role is to illuminate these resources, Looking ahead, it centres on experiencing the present moment and shifting perspectives.

    Some coaches provide additional knowledge related to the topic discussed. They may act as educators, facilitating lasting and profound understanding for a more enduring impact.

    Unlike therapists, coaches don't discuss past traumas and concerns, don't specialise in treating diagnosed conditions, and aren't qualified to work with clients experiencing mental health challenges. Transformative coaches, however, acknowledge the background's impact, recognising that your present and future can be influenced by it. They facilitate the removal of obstacles rooted in past conditioning to clear the path forward, yet without delving into the origins.

    In contrast to consultants, coaches don't collaborate or perform tasks to achieve desired outcomes on your or your employee's behalf. Instead, they foster a co-creative partnership in which you retain control of the process and the coach facilitates.

    Unlike advisors and mentors, coaches don't offer recommendations, guidance, or suggestions for addressing the issue at hand. However, they still leave the final choice and decision to you.

    Similar to counsellors, transformational coaches will adopt a person-centred approach and consider your emotions, but they are more action-oriented and focused on achieving immediate and long-term goals.

  • For coaching to be effective, potential clients must genuinely desire change and be eager to learn and grow. Their readiness and willingness to engage in coaching directly impact the success of the engagement.

    Clients need to be open to self-reflection and personal exploration. If they resist this process, coaching's effectiveness may be limited.

    The chemistry between the client and coach is essential for a successful partnership. Both parties should feel confident they are a good fit, even if a sponsor initiates the coaching engagement.

    Clients must take ownership of their journey and fully commit to the coaching process. Progress may have ups and downs, as meaningful change rarely occurs overnight.

    TRIGGER WARNINGS:
    1. Exploring deep-seated beliefs and emotions can be emotionally intense. Some individuals may struggle to confront certain issues, leading to resistance or discomfort.
    2. Delving deeper into emotions brings a risk of emotional release. Clients must be vigilant of such a threat and inform the Coach beforehand about any potential emotional overwhelm.

    There is a questionnaire available to check suitability and readiness for coaching.

    Unfortunately, I won’t be able to engage with the process if a potential client...

    • Suffers from ill mental health. Even though I am professionally trained in therapeutic practices and mental health issues, I am not qualified to work with clients that suffer from OCD, schizophrenia, psychosis, anxiety, depression, PTSD, personality, eating, panic, mood or bipolar disorders;

    • Suffers from past or recent trauma, as flashbacks may be triggered during coaching sessions. Such individuals require therapeutic involvement before engaging in coaching;

    • Suffers from addiction or substance abuse;

    • Prefers blaming and victimhood to embracing responsibility; and

    • Isn’t ready to let go of their carved-in belief system and overpowering ego.

    If a mental health issue is uncovered during the engagement, the recommendation would be to contact a GP or therapist. If I know somebody I trust to address the concern, I will gladly recommend them. Further engagement can be carried out simultaneously with therapy sessions (in this case, the topic of the coaching engagement will likely change) or after therapy sessions are completed.

    I reserve the right to terminate a coaching engagement if...

    • I notice any dangerous, criminal, inappropriate, offensive, irresponsible, disrespectful or manipulative tendencies in the client’s behaviour;

    • A client isn’t ready to explore new ideas or gets angry or defensive and withdraws from the process when being challenged or receiving feedback they don’t want to hear (ironically, it indicates that this exact topic that creates an adverse reaction must be further investigated).

    • A client is disrupting, sabotaging or adversely impacting group sessions.

    • The Sponsor initiates coaching engagement to push the individual out or fix a systemic issue beyond the control of the coachee;

    • The Sponsor initiates engagement, the goals of which aren’t in alignment with those of a coachee;

    • The Coach is compelled or pressured by the Sponsor and/or the Client into disclosing or revealing the substance of the Coach's-Client's and/or Coach’s-Sponsor’s meetings; or

    • The client disengages from the process and misses over three sessions without addressing the cause of their disengagement.

  • Surface coaching addresses immediate challenges and focuses on observable behaviours, while deep transformational coaching delves into underlying beliefs and emotions for lasting personal growth and positive change. Common areas such as decision-making, resilience, emotional intelligence, and organisational culture are deeply rooted in psychology.

    Exploring what hinders success provides long-term solutions, empowers sustainable growth, builds self-awareness and confidence and avoids creating client-coach dependency.

    Besides, addressing undersurface issues is cost-efficient and life-changing, positively impacting various life and business areas and offering sustainable results.

  • I use a combination of various methods to foster profound and enduring transformations that extend well beyond our coaching sessions. This holistic approach not only simultaneously positively impact the client's personal and professional areas but also ensures lasting positive effects. Drawing from coaching techniques, NLP practices, mindfulness exercises, therapeutic interventions, expressive arts, mindfulness-based art coaching, business advice, and educational insights, I tailor a programmes that meet the unique needs of each individual or business.

  • In coaching, virtually any topic or issue can be addressed. While there are specialised coaching niches, skilled coaches can guide you through any topic because the knowledge and solutions ultimately lie within you. The coach serves as a facilitator, helping you uncover your own insights, perspectives, and solutions.

  • Coaching is often viewed as a significant investment, but it's ultimately an investment in creating the life or business you desire. It's the cost of realising your vision and overcoming obstacles that hinder self-view, performance, or relationships while also fostering inner confidence to tackle life's challenges.

    While there isn't consistent data to establish a trend, various surveys suggest that the average price for one hour of executive coaching engagement ranges from $200 to $730 in the USA, £250 to £740 in the UK, and €230 to €450 in Europe. Prices vary based on methodology, coach's background and experience, reputation, additional tools used, qualifications, coachee's leadership level, and support provided outside coaching sessions. It's worth noting that coaching prices tend to increase annually, rendering earlier survey data potentially outdated. (Sources: Paperbell, Practice, The Conference Board, SHRM, Lequin, Henley, ICF)

    Indeed, such an investment prompts consideration of ROI (Return On Investment). While some numbers indicate significant financial ROI (from 221% to 788%), it's arguable whether it's a reliable and sufficient measure to assess coaching outcomes.

    For various reasons, the financial ROI metric may have limited validity and often isn't the primary focus of coaching interventions. To fully appreciate the impact of coaching, it's essential to consider other less tangible but holistic indicators, such as decreased stress, increased workplace engagement, staff retention, and various personal and professional attributes like resilience, confidence, and decision-making ability.

    Additionally, when assessing ROI, it's crucial not to overlook the Cost of Inaction – the difference between current status and potential progress – and the Cost of Wrong Action – the expenses incurred from mistakes and corrective actions. While the former is more challenging to quantify, both are significant factors that coaching helps address and mitigate.

    For further insights and potential ROI assessment, please refer to the ROI research data available for download on the Freebies page.

  • REFUNDS

    All contracts are binding, and I don't offer refunds for coaching services. My goal as your coach is to help you achieve your highest level of success, which requires your full commitment to the coaching package. Refunds can lead to a lack of dedication and hinder progress. If you frequently change your mind, coaching might not be suitable unless you're genuinely committed to addressing this pattern.

    It's crucial to make an informed decision before purchasing. Once you're in, you need to be fully committed, just as I'll be dedicated to supporting you. While refunds aren't standard, I'm open to considering them for unforeseen circumstances on a case-by-case basis. Please refer to the terms and conditions for more details.

    DISCOUNTS

    Based on the length of the coaching engagement you choose, a progressive discount will be applied. Opting for a longer program not only ensures extended support but also grants you the advantage of a reduced loyalty price per coaching hour.

    Moreover, if you decide to purchase additional coaching hours within an existing agreement, you will be charged at a bonus price, further enhancing the value of your coaching experience.

    GUARANTEES

    The results you attain depend highly on your level of engagement, openness, effort, and time invested in the process. Each client we work with is unique, and consequently, the outcomes achieved can vary significantly. Thus, it would be irresponsible to offer any guarantees.

    To illustrate, consider the analogy of guitar lessons: if you enrol in ten guitar lessons and actively practice, engage with the learning process, and dedicate your best efforts, the ultimate outcome is in your hands. The effectiveness of a great teacher or coach hinges on the commitment and determination demonstrated by the student or client.

  • I am a lifelong learner committed to personal growth and favour disjointed learning. I tend to integrate insights from various sources to create something unique that is aspirational to me and transformational for my clients.

    My expertise is built on a robust foundation of 20 years in commercial brand and business strategy, supplemented by 16 years of leadership and team coaching experience.

    Transitioning to full-time coaching and advisory, I obtained ICF certifications in Business, Life, and Expressive Arts Coaching, alongside specialised training in various niche disciplines. Additional accreditations in psychology, therapy modalities, mindfulness, meditation, emotional intelligence, and mental health further enrich my understanding and toolkit for sustainable transformation.

    As I pursue ongoing education in diverse areas, I remain dedicated to delivering tailored coaching experiences that honour the uniqueness of each individual. My personal development and coaching education plan is mapped out for several years ahead, covering both academic and practical knowledge.

    I look forward to every new opportunity for practice and information. I know my professionalism and ability to deliver my absolute best to my clients will exponentially grow with it.

  • Coaching thrives on honesty and trust, requiring openness to share information and accept feedback. If you and a coach don't feel comfortable with each other, the magic won't happen.

    Besides, the coach's message and your ambitions must resonate and align, not just in goals but also in approaches.

    Alignment, honesty, and trust are keys to unlocking the full potential of the coaching relationship.
